Joining JR’s ‘inside out project’. The SouthBank video

I posted a while back about JR. An inspirational French artist who won this years TED Prize 2011. His projects are all based on closely shot portraits, through a 28mm lens. Blown up on to posters and pasted on the urban landscape, walls, houses, roofs. I was so inspired by his work and fine acceptance speech at the TED awards that I joined his project, sent my photo in and received my poster. With the help of some fine comrades… my poster made it’s way to the SouthBank to become part of JR’s project. Check out more photos from the day on the insideoutproject site. We filmed the posting and the subsequent reactions of the public and I created a stop motion movie with a little tilt shift effect.
